2022 Ford Maverick — hybrid fuel economy dropped with no warning light — Charlotte / diagnosis

ManualDad711Community StarterMar 12, 20262022 Ford Maverick XLT HybridCharlotte
2022 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid, about 33,500 miles. Same commute and driver, but average MPG is down noticeably. Tires are properly inflated. What hybrid-specific data would you inspect before blaming the high-voltage battery? If I figure it out I will update the thread.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2022 Ford Maverick in Charlotte, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. Then you'll know the next fork. On “hybrid fuel economy dropped with no warning,” that was the fork that mattered for me. That's the sequence I'd use. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. That's my plan before I call anyone.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2022 Ford Maverick owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. Then you'll know the next fork. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2022 Ford Maverick, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. That's where I'd start. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Fair point. Counterpoint: Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2022 Ford Maverick before a big repair or a big spend. I'd do that before spending real money. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. I'll update if anything new shows up.

This is from a 2022 Ford Maverick in Charlotte with 33,500 miles. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Was this after sitting overnight? Make the next action something you can finish this week. If the story changes I'll post the new data.
