2022 Ford Maverick — should I negotiate the trade and purchase separately? — trying to narrow this down

2022 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid, about 57,500 miles. I have a trade with some equity and I am buying another car. Dealer wants to talk only in payment numbers. Would you settle sale price first, then trade value, then financing so each piece stays visible?

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2022 Ford Maverick before a big repair or a big spend. I'd do that before spending real money. Just my two cents from doing this recently. Your commute and mine probably aren't the same, but the test still applies. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2022 Ford Maverick owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. That's where I'd start. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2022 Ford Maverick in Denver, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. That's where I'd start. On “should i negotiate the trade and purchase,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. That's my plan before I call anyone.
