2022 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid — anyone else: Used truck versus new compact pickup

EcoBuilder27Community StarterFeb 10, 20262022 Ford Maverick XLT HybridPhoenix
2022 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid, about 78,000 miles. Same money buys an older full-size truck with capability I may never use or a newer compact truck with better fuel economy and warranty. Anyone make this switch and regret the smaller truck? Trying to diagnose before I book a shop. What am I missing?

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2022 Ford Maverick, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. I'd do that before spending real money. Monthly payment math is how wallets disappear. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2022 Ford Maverick before a big repair or a big spend. Then you'll know the next fork. This is from a 2022 Ford Maverick in Phoenix with 78,000 miles. Any freeze-frame data saved? Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Agree — and I'd add this: On the 2022 Ford Maverick in Phoenix, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. That's where I'd start. On “anyone else: used truck versus new compact,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2022 Ford Maverick in Phoenix with 78,000 miles. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.
