2022 Tesla Model 3 — fast charging tapers earlier than it used to

CleanWrench273Community StarterAug 31, 20262022 Tesla Model 3 Long RangePortland
2022 Tesla Model 3 Long Range, about 82,500 miles. On comparable road trips the charge rate now starts tapering sooner. I am trying to separate charger sharing, battery temperature, software changes and actual battery health. I am trying to get the facts straight before spending money.

Low-voltage gremlins will strand you even with a full pack. Try a second charger before blaming the 2022 Tesla Model 3 — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. Then you'll know the next fork. This is from a 2022 Tesla Model 3 in Portland with 82,500 miles. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. Cold start is when I can actually reproduce it.

Quick add on that: On the 2022 Tesla Model 3, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. That's where I'd start. On “fast charging tapers earlier than it used,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. I'll poke at it this weekend.
