2022 Tesla Model 3 Long Range — anyone else: Fast charging slows down earlier than it used to

ColdStartRunner19Community StarterApr 26, 20262022 Tesla Model 3 Long RangeSacramento
On road trips the car used to hold a higher charge rate longer. Now it starts tapering sooner even when the pack is warm. Could this be charger-side variation, battery temperature, software, or an actual battery-health issue? I'm in Sacramento. Trying to diagnose before I book a shop.

Low-voltage gremlins will strand you even with a full pack. Try a second charger before blaming the 2022 Tesla Model 3 — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. That's where I'd start. This is from a 2022 Tesla Model 3 in Sacramento. When does it actually happen? Cold start is when I can actually reproduce it.

Charge curves lie if you don't match starting SOC and temp. Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2022 Tesla Model 3 charge sessions. Then you'll know the next fork. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. I already checked the easy fluid levels.

I went back under the 2022 Tesla Model 3 and it only happens after a heat soak, not on a cold start. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

I'd treat 12V warnings as a no-ignore. On the 2022 Tesla Model 3, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. That's where I'd start. On “anyone else: fast charging slows down earlier,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2022 Tesla Model 3 in Sacramento. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. Happens in gear, not in park, for what that's worth.

I'd push back a little: Try a second charger before blaming the 2022 Tesla Model 3 — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. Then you'll know the next fork. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Don't clear the alert just to make the screen pretty. Leave the alerts on the 2022 Tesla Model 3 so service can see what you saw. Then you'll know the next fork. This is from a 2022 Tesla Model 3 in Sacramento. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. Only after sitting overnight so far.

Checked the easy stuff on the 2022 Tesla Model 3 and found one clue worth chasing before I book a shop. I'll update if anything new shows up.
