2022 Tesla Model 3 Long Range — anyone else: First used oil analysis — what should I care about?

CleanDetailer9Community StarterOct 25, 20252022 Tesla Model 3 Long RangeNew Jersey
2022 Tesla Model 3 Long Range, about 62,000 miles. Thinking about sending an oil sample in mostly to establish a baseline. For a normal street car, which numbers are actually useful over time and which ones do people overreact to? If I fix it I'll come back and update the thread. What am I missing?

Low-voltage gremlins will strand you even with a full pack. Try a second charger before blaming the 2022 Tesla Model 3 — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. I'd do that before spending real money. This is from a 2022 Tesla Model 3 in New Jersey with 62,000 miles. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. Not driving it hard until I know more.

Don't clear the alert just to make the screen pretty. Leave the alerts on the 2022 Tesla Model 3 so service can see what you saw. Then you'll know the next fork. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. Checking again after work.

I'd treat 12V warnings as a no-ignore. On the 2022 Tesla Model 3, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. That's where I'd start. On “anyone else: first used oil analysis —,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. If it repeats twice more I'll book time.

Charge curves lie if you don't match starting SOC and temp. Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2022 Tesla Model 3 charge sessions. That's where I'd start. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

I'd push back a little: Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2022 Tesla Model 3 charge sessions. That's where I'd start. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. I'd rather pay for diagnosis than a second guess-repair.

Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. I refuse to clear codes until someone else sees them.

Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. Make the next action something you can finish this week. I'll poke at it this weekend.

Agree — and I'd add this: On the 2022 Tesla Model 3, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. I'd do that before spending real money. On “anyone else: first used oil analysis —,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. Cold start is when I can actually reproduce it.

I went back under the 2022 Tesla Model 3 and it only happens after a heat soak, not on a cold start. Doing the boring step first on purpose.
