2022 Tesla Model 3 — two nearly identical cars are priced $4k apart

GaragePilotCommunity StarterAug 8, 20262022 Tesla Model 3 Long RangeBoston
2022 Tesla Model 3 Long Range, about 26,000 miles. Same year, trim and similar mileage, but two listings are thousands apart. One is CPO and one is not. How would you quantify condition, warranty, history and dealer reputation? I am in Boston.

Title status is the whole conversation. A rushed deposit before you can inspect the 2022 Tesla Model 3 is enough reason to walk. Then you'll know the next fork. Did the worksheet show tax yet? I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. Going to re-read the worksheet tonight.

I'd treat this like cash with a paper trail. A rushed deposit before you can inspect the 2022 Tesla Model 3 is enough reason to walk. That's where I'd start. On “two nearly identical cars are priced $4k,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.

Don't get cute with the meetup or the payment. Meet at a bank or dealer title office for the 2022 Tesla Model 3, not a parking lot at night. Then you'll know the next fork. When does it actually happen? I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Yes, with one caveat: Independent PPI on the 2022 Tesla Model 3 is cheap insurance versus a seller who “already had a friend look at it.” Then you'll know the next fork. On “two nearly identical cars are priced $4k,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Quick add on that: If the 2022 Tesla Model 3 still shows a lien, coordinate payoff with the lender before any cash changes hands. I'd do that before spending real money. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Private-party deals fail on paperwork, not vibes. Meet at a bank or dealer title office for the 2022 Tesla Model 3, not a parking lot at night. That's where I'd start. Did the worksheet show tax yet? I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. If they only talk monthly I'm walking.

Asking because it changes the advice: Independent PPI on the 2022 Tesla Model 3 is cheap insurance versus a seller who “already had a friend look at it.” I'd do that before spending real money. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.
