2023 Ford Bronco Badlands — trailer feels nervous in crosswinds

ColdStartTunerCommunity StarterJun 5, 20262023 Ford Bronco BadlandsUpstate New York
2023 Ford Bronco Badlands, about 14,500 miles. Truck is within published ratings, but with a tall enclosed trailer it gets pushed around in wind more than I expected. Before changing trucks, what would you verify: tongue weight, tire pressure, hitch setup, trailer loading, suspension? Appreciate any ideas on what to check first.

Coming back with numbers — insurance in Upstate New York changed the 2023 Ford Bronco comparison more than the sale price did. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. Call your insurer in Upstate New York before you fall in love with the 2023 Ford Bronco. If they balk, that's your answer. On “trailer feels nervous in crosswinds,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Did the worksheet show tax yet? This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. If GAP is bundled I'm making them unbundle it.

If I were shopping this, in Upstate New York, insurance quotes flipped a 2023 Ford Bronco comparison for me more than the sale price did. Then the comparison gets honest. Monthly payment math is how wallets disappear. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. Ask for out-the-door on the 2023 Ford Bronco with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Don't send a deposit on a phone quote. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2023 Ford Bronco and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Then the comparison gets honest. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. If the title is messy I'm out, full stop.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: Ask for out-the-door on the 2023 Ford Bronco with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “trailer feels nervous in crosswinds,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

This is from a 2023 Ford Bronco in Upstate New York with 14,500 miles. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' I'll post OTD once I have two apples-to-apples sheets.

If I were shopping this, if they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2023 Ford Bronco price probably got worse. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. Ask for out-the-door on the 2023 Ford Bronco with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.
