2023 GMC Sierra 1500 — my model year is in a recall article but my VIN is not

This started as a small annoyance and I finally decided to track it down. News says my model year is involved, but the VIN lookup shows no open recall. Is that usually because only certain build ranges are affected, or can the databases lag?

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. That's where I'd start. That's the sequence I'd use. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.
