2023 GMC Sierra 1500 — seller will not allow a pre-purchase inspection

This started as a small annoyance and I finally decided to track it down. 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4, about 40,000 miles. Car looks clean and the price is fair, but seller says they do not have time for a PPI because other buyers are interested. Would you treat that as an automatic walk-away?

I'd treat this like cash with a paper trail. Independent PPI on the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 is cheap insurance versus a seller who “already had a friend look at it.” I'd do that before spending real money. On “seller will not allow a pre-purchase inspection,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 in Central Jersey with 40,000 miles. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. I screenshotted the quote for later.

Private-party deals fail on paperwork, not vibes. Bill of sale, VIN, odometer, and names matching the title — I'd want all four on the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500. That's where I'd start. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

Title status is the whole conversation. Meet at a bank or dealer title office for the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500, not a parking lot at night. Then you'll know the next fork. That's the sequence I'd use. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Don't get cute with the meetup or the payment. A rushed deposit before you can inspect the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 is enough reason to walk. That's where I'd start. When does it actually happen? Make the next action something you can finish this week. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

Not convinced that's the whole story. Bill of sale, VIN, odometer, and names matching the title — I'd want all four on the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500. Then you'll know the next fork. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.

I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.

Coming back with numbers — insurance in Central Jersey changed the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 comparison more than the sale price did. If the story changes I'll post the new data.
