2023 Kia Telluride SX Prestige — anyone else: Two-post lift in a residential garage — what should I verify?

2023 Kia Telluride SX Prestige, about 4,800 miles. Ceiling height looks workable but I'm more worried about slab thickness, concrete strength, anchor location and door tracks. What measurements would you collect before even shopping lifts?

I'd wait for the actual TSB/recall population, not the headline. On a 2023 Kia Telluride, I'd care more about the remedy and downtime than the press wording. That's where I'd start. On “anyone else: two-post lift in a residential,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

I'd wait for the actual TSB/recall population, not the headline. Check whether your 2023 Kia Telluride VIN is actually in the affected batch before you plan a dealer day. That's where I'd start. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. I'll update if anything new shows up.

I parked the 2023 Kia Telluride and wrote down what I already tested so I'm not repeating myself. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Then you'll know the next fork. On “anyone else: two-post lift in a residential,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2023 Kia Telluride in Florida with 4,800 miles. Do that first. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Software recalls make me ask how much of 'driving' lives in a module now. If this is a 2027 reveal, I wouldn't map it onto today's 2023 Kia Telluride ownership costs yet. I'd do that before spending real money. Was this after sitting overnight? Doing the boring step first on purpose.
