2023 Rivian R1T — infotainment became glitchy after an OTA update

2023 Rivian R1T Quad-Motor, about 15,000 miles. After a software update the screen occasionally reboots and one saved setting keeps resetting. Is there a normal post-update reset procedure owners should try before booking service? I am in Detroit. Interested in real owner experience more than guesses.

Charge curves lie if you don't match starting SOC and temp. Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2023 Rivian R1T charge sessions. That's where I'd start. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Don't clear the alert just to make the screen pretty. Leave the alerts on the 2023 Rivian R1T so service can see what you saw. Then you'll know the next fork. Was this after sitting overnight? Video is ugly but it shows the hesitation.

Tried a second charger / second scan and the story on the 2023 Rivian R1T didn't change. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Don't clear the alert just to make the screen pretty. Leave the alerts on the 2023 Rivian R1T so service can see what you saw. Then you'll know the next fork. That's the whole play. Cold start is when I can actually reproduce it.

It did infotainment became glitchy after an ota update twice this week, both times after sitting. No change in mileage feel. I'd rather pay for diagnosis than a second guess-repair.

OP update: scanned the 2023 Rivian R1T again and still only have the one pending code, no new lights. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Checked the easy stuff on the 2023 Rivian R1T and found one clue worth chasing before I book a shop. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Agree — and I'd add this: On the 2023 Rivian R1T, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. Then you'll know the next fork. On “infotainment became glitchy after an ota update,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. That's my plan before I call anyone.
