2023 Rivian R1T Quad-Motor — cPO luxury SUV or brand-new mainstream SUV?

2023 Rivian R1T Quad-Motor, about 4,800 miles. Budget works for either a lightly used luxury SUV or a new mainstream model with a full warranty. I'm more worried about three-to-five-year ownership cost and service downtime than the purchase price. How would you compare them? I'm in Phoenix. Any data points from owners would help.

Title status is the whole conversation. Independent PPI on the 2023 Rivian R1T is cheap insurance versus a seller who “already had a friend look at it.” That's where I'd start. Have you gotten a second quote in writing? I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.

On “motor — cpo luxury suv or brand-new,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

I asked about motor — cpo luxury suv or brand-new again and they still won't put GAP/add-ons on their own lines. Not wiring anything in the meantime.

Fair point. Counterpoint: Bill of sale, VIN, odometer, and names matching the title — I'd want all four on the 2023 Rivian R1T. That's where I'd start. Any freeze-frame data saved? Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.
