2023 Rivian R1T Quad-Motor — how are you estimating real battery degradation?

ShiftCollector47Community StarterSep 2, 20262023 Rivian R1T Quad-MotorCentral Florida
Dash range changes with temperature and driving, so I'm looking for a better way to judge battery health. What data do you trust—usable kWh, charging energy, service-mode values, repeated range tests? I'm in Central Florida. Trying to diagnose before I book a shop.

Don't clear the alert just to make the screen pretty. Leave the alerts on the 2023 Rivian R1T so service can see what you saw. That's where I'd start. This is from a 2023 Rivian R1T in Central Florida. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. I'd rather be boring and correct. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Fair point. Counterpoint: Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2023 Rivian R1T charge sessions. That's where I'd start. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.

Charge curves lie if you don't match starting SOC and temp. Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2023 Rivian R1T charge sessions. I'd do that before spending real money. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

I'd treat 12V warnings as a no-ignore. On the 2023 Rivian R1T, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. Then you'll know the next fork. On “motor — how are you estimating real,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. Checking again after work.

Low-voltage gremlins will strand you even with a full pack. Try a second charger before blaming the 2023 Rivian R1T — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. That's where I'd start. Just my two cents from doing this recently. If that fails I'll eat the diagnostic fee.
