2023 Rivian R1T Quad-Motor — would a major price cut make you worry about resale?

A manufacturer cutting MSRP or adding huge incentives is great if you're buying now, but painful for recent buyers. How much do you factor future price cuts into EV/luxury-car decisions? If I fix it I'll come back and update the thread. What am I missing?

I'd treat 12V warnings as a no-ignore. On the 2023 Rivian R1T, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. I'd do that before spending real money. On “motor — would a major price cut,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Cold start is when I can actually reproduce it.

Low-voltage gremlins will strand you even with a full pack. Try a second charger before blaming the 2023 Rivian R1T — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. That's where I'd start. Agree — and I'd add this: Leave the alerts on the 2023 Rivian R1T so service can see what you saw. That's where I'd start. This is from a 2023 Rivian R1T in Bay Area. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. I'll update if anything new shows up.

I went back under the 2023 Rivian R1T and it only happens after a heat soak, not on a cold start. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Don't clear the alert just to make the screen pretty. Leave the alerts on the 2023 Rivian R1T so service can see what you saw. Then you'll know the next fork. That's the whole play. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. Wrote this up on my lunch break.
