This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2024 Audi Q5 is losing coolant with no puddle. That's the branch I'd chase this week. Have you gotten a second quote in writing? I'll poke at it this weekend.

Not convinced that's the whole story. Capture voltage while the 2024 Audi Q5 is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Checking again after work.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2024 Audi Q5 does it — then decide on parts. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.

Log the conditions before you spend. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2024 Audi Q5, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. On “coolant is old by age but mileage,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

I went back under the 2024 Audi Q5 and it only happens after a heat soak, not on a cold start. Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2024 Audi Q5, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Log the conditions before you spend. Two 2024 Audi Q5s can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. Save the big job until that test fails. On “coolant is old by age but mileage,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Was this after sitting overnight? Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

Ask what changed right before it started. Capture voltage while the 2024 Audi Q5 is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. I already checked the easy fluid levels.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2024 Audi Q5 and see if the fault moves. Save the big job until that test fails. On “coolant is old by age but mileage,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' If the story changes I'll post the new data.

This is from a 2024 Audi Q5 in Queens with 46,500 miles. That's the whole play. Checking again after work.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2024 Audi Q5 catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. This is from a 2024 Audi Q5 in Queens with 46,500 miles. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. I already checked the easy fluid levels.

Quick add on that: Capture voltage while the 2024 Audi Q5 is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. This is from a 2024 Audi Q5 in Queens with 46,500 miles. Any freeze-frame data saved? Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. Doing the boring step first on purpose.
