2024 BMW i4 — costs that mattered more than fuel economy

2024 BMW i4 eDrive40, about 18,500 miles. After owning the car for a while, tires, insurance and service pricing mattered more than the MPG difference I obsessed over before buying. What ownership costs surprised you most? I am trying to get the facts straight before spending money.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2024 BMW i4 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. Then you'll know the next fork. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Fair point. Counterpoint: If it still isn't clear on the 2024 BMW i4, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. I'd do that before spending real money. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.
