2024 Buick Envision — short-trip driving and oil-change intervals

The car gets lots of cold starts, idling and short trips with few long highway runs. The factory interval feels long for that use. How would you set an interval around duty cycle rather than just the odometer?

Not convinced that's the whole story. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2024 Buick Envision before a big repair or a big spend. I'd do that before spending real money. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.
