2024 Ford F-150 — advertised price jumps thousands at the desk

The advertised used-car price was competitive, but the worksheet includes protection packages, tracking equipment and other preinstalled items that were not obvious online. How do you compare the real OTD price across dealers?

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: Call your insurer in Columbus before you fall in love with the 2024 Ford F-150. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “150 — advertised price jumps thousands at,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. A written buyer’s order on the 2024 Ford F-150 is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Stop there until you know. Going to re-read the worksheet tonight.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2024 Ford F-150 and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. That's the part that actually changes the decision. No need to make it theatrical. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

I'd push back a little: If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2024 Ford F-150 price probably got worse. Then the comparison gets honest. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.
