2024 Ford F-150 — brake fluid is old but still looks clean

2024 Ford F-150 Lariat 3.5 EcoBoost, about 24,000 miles. Fluid looks clear in the reservoir but has been in the car for several years. Would you change based on time/moisture rather than appearance? I would rather test this logically than replace parts.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2024 Ford F-150 before a big repair or a big spend. Then you'll know the next fork. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Yes, with one caveat: On the 2024 Ford F-150 in Tampa, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. That's where I'd start. On “150 — brake fluid is old but,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2024 Ford F-150 in Tampa with 24,000 miles. Was this after sitting overnight? I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.
