2024 Ford F-150 Lariat 3.5 EcoBoost, about 151,000 miles. I was focused on tow rating until I started adding passengers, gear and tongue weight. Now payload looks like the real limit. How much buffer do you personally leave for a family towing setup? Any data points from owners would help. Ambient temp was about 84°F when I noticed it.

I parked the 2024 Ford F-150 and wrote down what I already tested so I'm not repeating myself. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Not convinced that's the whole story. If it still isn't clear on the 2024 Ford F-150, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. Then you'll know the next fork. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2024 Ford F-150 before a big repair or a big spend. Then you'll know the next fork. Stop there until you know. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2024 Ford F-150 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. I'd do that before spending real money. The universe charges extra for guessing. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2024 Ford F-150 before a big repair or a big spend. Then you'll know the next fork. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. I'll update if anything new shows up.
