2024 Ford Mustang — how much reconditioning is worth doing before listing?

Car needs tires soon and has a few cosmetic issues. I am not sure whether spending money first will return more in the sale price. What repairs or detailing usually pay back and what should just be disclosed? Mileage is about 58,000.

I would not stare at the monthly. In Queens, insurance quotes flipped a 2024 Ford Mustang comparison for me more than the sale price did. That's the part that actually changes the decision. This is from a 2024 Ford Mustang in Queens. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

If I were shopping this, if they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2024 Ford Mustang price probably got worse. That's the part that actually changes the decision. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2024 Ford Mustang and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. No need to make it theatrical. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

Quick add on that: Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2024 Ford Mustang so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. If they balk, that's your answer. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Yes, with one caveat: Ask for out-the-door on the 2024 Ford Mustang with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. That's the whole play. I'll post OTD once I have two apples-to-apples sheets.

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. If one piece looks too good on the 2024 Ford Mustang, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Then the comparison gets honest. Stop there until you know. Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.
