2024 Jeep Gladiator — footwell gets wet only after heavy rain

ProjectMom166Community StarterJul 8, 20262024 Jeep Gladiator MojaveLas Vegas
2024 Jeep Gladiator Mojave, about 45,000 miles. The car stays dry in normal rain but after a long storm one front footwell gets damp. Door seal looks okay. What drain/seam tests would you do before tearing the interior apart? I would rather test this logically than replace parts.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Capture voltage while the 2024 Jeep Gladiator is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. That's the branch I'd chase this week. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. Make the next action something you can finish this week. I keep a notes app thread for this now.

Tried a second charger / second scan and the story on the 2024 Jeep Gladiator didn't change. Only after sitting overnight so far.

Log the conditions before you spend. Two 2024 Jeep Gladiators can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. On “footwell gets wet only after heavy rain,” that was the fork that mattered for me. That's the whole play. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

Yes, with one caveat: Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2024 Jeep Gladiator and see if the fault moves. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2024 Jeep Gladiator does it — then decide on parts. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. This is from a 2024 Jeep Gladiator in Las Vegas with 45,000 miles. Do that first. I keep a notes app thread for this now.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2024 Jeep Gladiator, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Was this after sitting overnight? I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. I refuse to clear codes until someone else sees them.
