2024 Kia EV9 — car died once at a light and restarted immediately

2024 Kia EV9 GT-Line, about 39,500 miles. The engine shut off at a stop once, restarted right away, and has been normal since. No warning stayed on. What data or checks would you prioritize before trusting it on a long trip? I am trying to get the facts straight before spending money.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2024 Kia EV9, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. Then you'll know the next fork. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2024 Kia EV9 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. That's where I'd start. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2024 Kia EV9 in Seattle, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. I'd do that before spending real money. On “car died once at a light and,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. That's my plan before I call anyone.

Following up on car died once at a light and: still happening, but I have better notes now. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.
