2024 Kia EV9 — check-engine light turned itself off — still scan it?

2024 Kia EV9 GT-Line, about 33,000 miles. The light was on for two days and then disappeared before I could schedule service. Car feels normal. Is there still likely to be useful stored or pending data if I scan it now? Mostly looking for the right next step. What would you check next?

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2024 Kia EV9 catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. On “check-engine light turned itself off — still,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2024 Kia EV9 in Bay Area with 33,000 miles. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Capture voltage while the 2024 Kia EV9 is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. Save the big job until that test fails. No need to make it theatrical. Your commute and mine probably aren't the same, but the test still applies. Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2024 Kia EV9 and see if the fault moves. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. On “check-engine light turned itself off — still,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2024 Kia EV9 catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. No need to make it theatrical. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. Checking again after work.

Quick add on that: A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2024 Kia EV9 is losing coolant with no puddle. Save the big job until that test fails. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I'll poke at it this weekend.

Log the conditions before you spend. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2024 Kia EV9 is losing coolant with no puddle. Save the big job until that test fails. On “check-engine light turned itself off — still,” that was the fork that mattered for me. That's the sequence I'd use. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. No warning lights, which is why I'm documenting it.
