2024 Kia EV9 GT-Line — new model reveal: what matters beyond the headline specs?

V8Hauler14Community StarterAug 17, 20262024 Kia EV9 GT-LineSouth Florida
A new model just dropped and the headline numbers look good, but I'm more interested in curb weight, wheel/tire sizes, real rear-seat room, charging/fueling, repairability and what features are locked behind packages.

Charge curves lie if you don't match starting SOC and temp. Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2024 Kia EV9 charge sessions. I'd do that before spending real money. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Don't clear the alert just to make the screen pretty. Leave the alerts on the 2024 Kia EV9 so service can see what you saw. I'd do that before spending real money. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. Trying not to diagnose from the couch.

I'd treat 12V warnings as a no-ignore. On the 2024 Kia EV9, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. Then you'll know the next fork. On “line — new model reveal: what matters,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. If it repeats twice more I'll book time.

OP update: scanned the 2024 Kia EV9 again and still only have the one pending code, no new lights. No warning lights, which is why I'm documenting it.

If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Same neighborhood, different next step: On the 2024 Kia EV9, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. That's where I'd start. On “line — new model reveal: what matters,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

If that fails I'll eat the diagnostic fee.

Cleared nothing. I want service to see the alert on the 2024 Kia EV9 first. No warning lights, which is why I'm documenting it.

Low-voltage gremlins will strand you even with a full pack. Try a second charger before blaming the 2024 Kia EV9 — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. I'd do that before spending real money. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Checked the easy stuff on the 2024 Kia EV9 and found one clue worth chasing before I book a shop. Video is ugly but it shows the hesitation.

Asking because it changes the advice: Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2024 Kia EV9 charge sessions. I'd do that before spending real money. Tried a second charger / second scan and the story on the 2024 Kia EV9 didn't change. Not interested in a five-hour wait for a shrug.

Yes, with one caveat: Leave the alerts on the 2024 Kia EV9 so service can see what you saw. That's where I'd start. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.
