2024 Kia EV9 — single-cylinder misfire comes and goes

NoMarkupCollectorCommunity StarterJun 28, 20262024 Kia EV9 GT-LineBaltimore
A cylinder-specific misfire code appeared after one rough start, then cleared and the engine feels normal. Plugs are not very old. Would you swap coils, inspect plugs, look at injector data, or wait for it to return? I am trying to get the facts straight before spending money. Mileage is about 67,000.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2024 Kia EV9, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. That's the branch I'd chase this week. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2024 Kia EV9 and see if the fault moves. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. Was this after sitting overnight? Heat soak after errands is the other window.

Log the conditions before you spend. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2024 Kia EV9 does it — then decide on parts. Save the big job until that test fails. On “single-cylinder misfire comes and goes,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Was this after sitting overnight? I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Log the conditions before you spend. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2024 Kia EV9 catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. On “single-cylinder misfire comes and goes,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2024 Kia EV9 in Baltimore. Any freeze-frame data saved? If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Two 2024 Kia EV9s can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. Save the big job until that test fails. Have you gotten a second quote in writing? I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.
