2024 Polestar 2 — footwell gets wet only after heavy rain

CanyonShopper955Community StarterMay 24, 20262024 Polestar 2 Long Range Dual MotorSalt Lake City
2024 Polestar 2 Long Range Dual Motor, about 38,500 miles. The car stays dry in normal rain but after a long storm one front footwell gets damp. Door seal looks okay. What drain/seam tests would you do before tearing the interior apart?

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2024 Polestar 2, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. Then you'll know the next fork. Did the worksheet show tax yet? That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2024 Polestar 2 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. Then you'll know the next fork. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Not convinced that's the whole story. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2024 Polestar 2 before a big repair or a big spend. I'd do that before spending real money. Have you gotten a second quote in writing? I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2024 Polestar 2 in Salt Lake City, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. That's where I'd start. On “footwell gets wet only after heavy rain,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. That's my plan before I call anyone.
