2024 Rivian R1S Dual-Motor — how are you estimating real battery degradation?

Dash range changes with temperature and driving, so I'm looking for a better way to judge battery health. What data do you trust—usable kWh, charging energy, service-mode values, repeated range tests? I'm in Nashville. Any data points from owners would help. What am I missing?

Quick update: a second 2024 Rivian R1S quote made the first offer look ordinary. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

OP here. Still looking, but I'm waiting on inspection notes before I send money on the 2024 Rivian R1S. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. If one piece looks too good on the 2024 Rivian R1S, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. That's the part that actually changes the decision. This is from a 2024 Rivian R1S in Nashville. That's the whole play. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Agree — and I'd add this: A written buyer’s order on the 2024 Rivian R1S is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” Do that before you talk monthly again. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Asking because it changes the advice: I would not wire money until I've seen the 2024 Rivian R1S and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Then the comparison gets honest. Just my two cents from doing this recently. Not wiring anything in the meantime.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. Two 2024 Rivian R1S quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Then the comparison gets honest. Do that first. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. Ask for out-the-door on the 2024 Rivian R1S with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. This is the version I'd tell a friend.
