2024 Rivian R1S — new pads squeal at parking-lot speeds

2024 Rivian R1S Dual-Motor, about 42,000 miles. Pads and rotors were replaced recently and stopping performance is good, but there is low-speed squeal. Hardware was cleaned and lubricated. How long would you give bedding before inspecting again?

I wouldn't throw parts yet. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2024 Rivian R1S is losing coolant with no puddle. That's the branch I'd chase this week. Stop there until you know. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. I keep a notes app thread for this now.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Move a coil or plug on the 2024 Rivian R1S if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. On “new pads squeal at parking-lot speeds,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2024 Rivian R1S in Pennsylvania with 42,000 miles. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. Cold start is when I can actually reproduce it.

Fair point. Counterpoint: Loaded-suspension checks on the 2024 Rivian R1S catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. Trying not to diagnose from the couch.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. Capture voltage while the 2024 Rivian R1S is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. That's the whole play. Video is ugly but it shows the hesitation.
