2025 Lucid Air Pure — need advice: Do shorter oil intervals actually make sense for my use?

2025 Lucid Air Pure, about 8,200 miles. Most of my driving is short trips with a lot of idling, but the factory interval is pretty long. I'd rather not waste oil, but I also plan to keep the car past 150k. How would you set an interval based on use instead of just mileage? I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2025 Lucid Air owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. That's where I'd start. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Quick add on that: On the 2025 Lucid Air in New York, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. That's where I'd start. On “need advice: do shorter oil intervals actually,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. That's my plan before I call anyone.

Asking because it changes the advice: If it still isn't clear on the 2025 Lucid Air, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. That's where I'd start. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

I parked the 2025 Lucid Air and wrote down what I already tested so I'm not repeating myself. I'll update if anything new shows up.
