Anyone else: High transmission temperature after several hard laps

BoostedCollectorCommunity StarterApr 1, 20262025 BMW M3 Competition xDriveAtlanta
After several laps the transmission temp rises enough that shifting behavior changes. Car cools down and works normally again. Looking for data points on cooling upgrades versus simply shortening sessions. Any data points from owners would help.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2025 BMW M3, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. I'd do that before spending real money. Do that first. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Following up on high transmission temperature after several hard laps: still happening, but I have better notes now. That's my plan before I call anyone.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2025 BMW M3 before a big repair or a big spend. I'd do that before spending real money. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2025 BMW M3 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. I'd do that before spending real money. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. This is the version I'd tell a friend.
