Carbureted engine stumbles only when I tip into throttle

PistonRoadie40Community StarterJul 27, 20262023 BMW M340i xDriveCalifornia
Idle is decent and it cruises okay, but a quick throttle input makes it stumble. I'm trying not to change three things at once. Accelerator pump, timing, vacuum leak—which test would you do first? Appreciate any ideas on what to check first.

Log the conditions before you spend. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2023 BMW M340i and see if the fault moves. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. On “carbureted engine stumbles only when i tip,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. I already checked the easy fluid levels.

If it were in my driveway, two 2023 BMW M340is can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Ask what changed right before it started. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2023 BMW M340i is losing coolant with no puddle. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. This is from a 2023 BMW M340i in California. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. Make the next action something you can finish this week. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Two 2023 BMW M340is can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. Save the big job until that test fails. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.
