Fast charging slows down earlier than it used to

BoostedDetailerCommunity StarterAug 13, 20262022 Tesla Model 3 Long RangeLas Vegas
On road trips the car used to hold a higher charge rate longer. Now it starts tapering sooner even when the pack is warm. Could this be charger-side variation, battery temperature, software, or an actual battery-health issue? I'm in Las Vegas. If I fix it I'll come back and update the thread.

Don't clear the alert just to make the screen pretty. Leave the alerts on the 2022 Tesla Model 3 so service can see what you saw. That's where I'd start. This is from a 2022 Tesla Model 3 in Las Vegas. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

I'd treat 12V warnings as a no-ignore. On the 2022 Tesla Model 3, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. I'd do that before spending real money. On “fast charging slows down earlier than it,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. Cold start is when I can actually reproduce it.

I went back under the 2022 Tesla Model 3 and it only happens after a heat soak, not on a cold start. I refuse to clear codes until someone else sees them.

Low-voltage gremlins will strand you even with a full pack. Try a second charger before blaming the 2022 Tesla Model 3 — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. Then you'll know the next fork. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Charge curves lie if you don't match starting SOC and temp. Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2022 Tesla Model 3 charge sessions. Then you'll know the next fork. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. Make the next action something you can finish this week. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.
