Need advice: All-weather tires or dedicated winters for mostly-plowed roads?

Most roads here get plowed quickly, but I still deal with cold mornings, slush and a few real storms each year. Trying to decide whether dedicated winters are worth storing another set. Any data points from owners would help.

I'd pick the setup I'll actually live with in slush. If Los Angeles only sees a few real storms, a good all-weather on the 2024 Kia EV9 can be the saner daily. Then you'll know the next fork. Just my two cents from doing this recently. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

I'd pick the setup I'll actually live with in slush. In Los Angeles, dedicated winters on the 2024 Kia EV9 paid off more than I expected on ice, even on plowed roads. That's where I'd start. On “all-weather tires or dedicated winters for mostly-plowed,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Did the worksheet show tax yet? If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

This is a climate question as much as a tire question. If Los Angeles only sees a few real storms, a good all-weather on the 2024 Kia EV9 can be the saner daily. Then you'll know the next fork. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. Your commute and mine probably aren't the same, but the test still applies. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

I'd pick the setup I'll actually live with in slush. Watch brake clearance and overall diameter if you downsize winter wheels on the 2024 Kia EV9. That's where I'd start. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. I'll poke at it this weekend.

Salt and cold mornings punish cheap shortcuts. Watch brake clearance and overall diameter if you downsize winter wheels on the 2024 Kia EV9. I'd do that before spending real money. On “all-weather tires or dedicated winters for mostly-plowed,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Have you gotten a second quote in writing? Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. Happens in gear, not in park, for what that's worth.
