Need advice: High transmission temperature after several hard laps

ColdStartDaily13Community StarterSep 28, 20252024 Subaru WRX PremiumBay Area
2024 Subaru WRX Premium, about 151,000 miles. After several laps the transmission temp rises enough that shifting behavior changes. Car cools down and works normally again. Looking for data points on cooling upgrades versus simply shortening sessions.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2024 Subaru WRX, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. That's where I'd start. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Quick add on that: A second data point from another 2024 Subaru WRX owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. Then you'll know the next fork. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Yes, with one caveat: A second data point from another 2024 Subaru WRX owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. Then you'll know the next fork. This is from a 2024 Subaru WRX in Bay Area with 151,000 miles. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.
