Question: CPO luxury SUV or brand-new mainstream SUV?

Budget works for either a lightly used luxury SUV or a new mainstream model with a full warranty. I'm more worried about three-to-five-year ownership cost and service downtime than the purchase price. How would you compare them? Appreciate any ideas on what to check first. Ambient temp was about 84°F when I noticed it.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. A written buyer’s order on the 2022 Volvo XC90 is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “cpo luxury suv or brand-new mainstream suv,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. I screenshotted the quote for later.

PPI is scheduled. I'm not depositing until I see the 2022 Volvo XC90 notes. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

If I were shopping this, i would not wire money until I've seen the 2022 Volvo XC90 and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Then the comparison gets honest. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.

Quick add on that: Call your insurer in Raleigh before you fall in love with the 2022 Volvo XC90. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. That's the whole play. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. Ask for out-the-door on the 2022 Volvo XC90 with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. This is from a 2022 Volvo XC90 in Raleigh. Do that first. I'd rather be boring and correct. Sleeping on the number either way.

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. A written buyer’s order on the 2022 Volvo XC90 is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” If they balk, that's your answer. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

I would not stare at the monthly. Two 2022 Volvo XC90 quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. This is from a 2022 Volvo XC90 in Raleigh. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.
