Question: Factory integration or replace everything?

Newer car has a factory amplified system and lots of vehicle sounds tied into it. I want better speakers and sub bass without breaking alerts. Would you integrate through DSP or avoid touching the factory amp? Any data points from owners would help.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2007 Porsche Cayman owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. I'd do that before spending real money. When does it actually happen? This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2007 Porsche Cayman, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. I'd do that before spending real money. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.
