1951 Ford F-1 Custom — need advice: CPO luxury SUV or brand-new mainstream SUV?

1951 Ford F-1 Custom, about 118,000 miles. Budget works for either a lightly used luxury SUV or a new mainstream model with a full warranty. I'm more worried about three-to-five-year ownership cost and service downtime than the purchase price. How would you compare them?

Get the messy numbers in writing first. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 1951 Ford F-1 so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “1 custom — need advice: cpo luxury,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 1951 Ford F-1 in Connecticut with 118,000 miles. That's the whole play. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.

Asking because it changes the advice: If one piece looks too good on the 1951 Ford F-1, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Then the comparison gets honest. This is from a 1951 Ford F-1 in Connecticut with 118,000 miles. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Asking because it changes the advice: Two 1951 Ford F-1 quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Any freeze-frame data saved? That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

Same neighborhood, different next step: Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 1951 Ford F-1 so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “1 custom — need advice: cpo luxury,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 1951 Ford F-1 so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. If they balk, that's your answer. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.

OP here. Still looking, but I'm waiting on inspection notes before I send money on the 1951 Ford F-1. I'll update if anything new shows up.
