2013 Nissan 370Z — delayed engagement into Drive when cold

After sitting overnight, shifting from Park to Drive can take a second or two before the vehicle actually engages. Once warm it behaves normally. Would you start with fluid, adaptation data, mounts or something mechanical?

Log the conditions before you spend. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2013 Nissan 370Z is losing coolant with no puddle. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. On “delayed engagement into drive when cold,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Stop there until you know. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2013 Nissan 370Z does it — then decide on parts. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. This is from a 2013 Nissan 370Z in San Diego. That's the sequence I'd use. Not driving it hard until I know more.

Quick add on that: Two 2013 Nissan 370Zs can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. On “delayed engagement into drive when cold,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. I'd rather pay for diagnosis than a second guess-repair.

Cleared nothing. I want service to see the alert on the 2013 Nissan 370Z first. Video is ugly but it shows the hesitation.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2013 Nissan 370Z, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. That's the branch I'd chase this week. I went back under the 2013 Nissan 370Z and it only happens after a heat soak, not on a cold start. If the story changes I'll post the new data.
