2020 Kia Stinger — 50,000-mile ownership report: what actually broke? — buyer question from Miami

PistonGeek244Community StarterJan 11, 20262020 Kia Stinger GT2Miami
2020 Kia Stinger GT2, about 100,500 miles. I just crossed 50k miles and want to log maintenance, unscheduled repairs, tire life, fuel economy, dealer visits, annoyances and whether I would buy the same car again. Interested in real owner experience more than guesses.

I would not stare at the monthly. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2020 Kia Stinger and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. That's the part that actually changes the decision. This is from a 2020 Kia Stinger in Miami with 100,500 miles. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

Yes, with one caveat: Call your insurer in Miami before you fall in love with the 2020 Kia Stinger. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “50,000-mile ownership report: what actually broke? —,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. I screenshotted the quote for later.

Coming back with numbers — insurance in Miami changed the 2020 Kia Stinger comparison more than the sale price did. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. Two 2020 Kia Stinger quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. That's the part that actually changes the decision. I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. A written buyer’s order on the 2020 Kia Stinger is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Was this after sitting overnight? PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.

I would not stare at the monthly. Two 2020 Kia Stinger quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Then the comparison gets honest. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2020 Kia Stinger so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “50,000-mile ownership report: what actually broke? —,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. That's my plan before I call anyone.

Insurance and tax belong in the comparison, not as a surprise. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2020 Kia Stinger so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. If they balk, that's your answer. On “50,000-mile ownership report: what actually broke? —,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. I screenshotted the quote for later.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. In Miami, insurance quotes flipped a 2020 Kia Stinger comparison for me more than the sale price did. That's the part that actually changes the decision. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. If they only talk monthly I'm walking.

If I were shopping this, two 2020 Kia Stinger quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Have you gotten a second quote in writing? This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. A written buyer’s order on the 2020 Kia Stinger is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” Do that before you talk monthly again. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. A written buyer’s order on the 2020 Kia Stinger is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” If they balk, that's your answer. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.
