2022 BMW X3 M40i — question: Used truck versus new compact pickup

2022 BMW X3 M40i, about 118,000 miles. Same money buys an older full-size truck with capability I may never use or a newer compact truck with better fuel economy and warranty. Anyone make this switch and regret the smaller truck? Trying to diagnose before I book a shop.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2022 BMW X3 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. That's where I'd start. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2022 BMW X3, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. Then you'll know the next fork. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.
