2022 Genesis GV70 — service lifetime transmission fluid or leave it alone?

TorqueMomCommunity StarterJun 20, 20262022 Genesis GV70 3.5TNorthern Virginia
2022 Genesis GV70 3.5T, about 92,000 miles. The manual treats the fluid as lifetime under normal conditions, but the vehicle is getting older and I plan to keep it. What are owners doing in practice, and why choose drain-and-fill versus an exchange? I am in Northern Virginia. I am trying to get the facts straight before spending money.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Capture voltage while the 2022 Genesis GV70 is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. On “service lifetime transmission fluid or leave it,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. Trying not to diagnose from the couch.

Same neighborhood, different next step: Move a coil or plug on the 2022 Genesis GV70 if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. No warning lights, which is why I'm documenting it.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2022 Genesis GV70 catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Stop there until you know. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Capture voltage while the 2022 Genesis GV70 is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. This is from a 2022 Genesis GV70 in Northern Virginia with 92,000 miles. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. Make the next action something you can finish this week. I already checked the easy fluid levels.
