2022 Volvo XC90 — preventive cleaning of the hybrid battery cooling fan — Brooklyn / buyer question

HybridMiles528Community StarterMay 17, 20262022 Volvo XC90 RechargeBrooklyn
The car carries pets and sees dusty conditions. Is inspecting or cleaning the battery cooling intake/fan a reasonable preventive job when the service procedure allows it?

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2022 Volvo XC90, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. Make the next action something you can finish this week. I'd rather pay for diagnosis than a second guess-repair.

Tried a second charger / second scan and the story on the 2022 Volvo XC90 didn't change. I refuse to clear codes until someone else sees them.

Same neighborhood, different next step: If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2022 Volvo XC90, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. That's the whole play. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2022 Volvo XC90 is losing coolant with no puddle. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

Yes, with one caveat: A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2022 Volvo XC90 is losing coolant with no puddle. That's the branch I'd chase this week. On “preventive cleaning of the hybrid battery cooling,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2022 Volvo XC90 in Brooklyn. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. Heat soak after errands is the other window.

If it were in my driveway, swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2022 Volvo XC90 and see if the fault moves. Save the big job until that test fails. This is from a 2022 Volvo XC90 in Brooklyn. That's the sequence I'd use. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Ask what changed right before it started. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2022 Volvo XC90 is losing coolant with no puddle. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Do that first. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.
