2023 Audi S5 — windshield replacement created a highway whistle — buyer question from Central Jersey

This started as a small annoyance and I finally decided to track it down. 2023 Audi S5 Sportback, about 39,000 miles. A windshield was replaced and now there is a whistle around highway speed that did not exist before. Glass looks seated. Any simple way to locate the air leak before taking it back? I am trying to get the facts straight before spending money.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Move a coil or plug on the 2023 Audi S5 if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. Save the big job until that test fails. On “windshield replacement created a highway whistle —,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Do that first. If it repeats twice more I'll book time.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2023 Audi S5, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. Save the big job until that test fails. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2023 Audi S5 does it — then decide on parts. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. If it repeats twice more I'll book time.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Move a coil or plug on the 2023 Audi S5 if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. Do that first. Only after sitting overnight so far.
