2023 Ford Bronco Badlands — do shorter oil intervals actually make sense for my use?

ColdStartNerd7Community StarterAug 13, 20262023 Ford Bronco BadlandsSeattle
2023 Ford Bronco Badlands, about 22,000 miles. Most of my driving is short trips with a lot of idling, but the factory interval is pretty long. I'd rather not waste oil, but I also plan to keep the car past 150k. How would you set an interval based on use instead of just mileage? I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2023 Ford Bronco in Seattle, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. I'd do that before spending real money. On “do shorter oil intervals actually make sense,” that was the fork that mattered for me. The universe charges extra for guessing. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2023 Ford Bronco before a big repair or a big spend. Then you'll know the next fork. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. Your commute and mine probably aren't the same, but the test still applies. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2023 Ford Bronco owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. I'd do that before spending real money. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

I'd push back a little: If it still isn't clear on the 2023 Ford Bronco, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. That's where I'd start. Monthly payment math is how wallets disappear. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.
