2023 Ford Bronco — costs that mattered more than fuel economy

After owning the car for a while, tires, insurance and service pricing mattered more than the MPG difference I obsessed over before buying. What ownership costs surprised you most? I am trying not to assume the first explanation I see online.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2023 Ford Bronco in Chicago, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. Then you'll know the next fork. On “costs that mattered more than fuel economy,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2023 Ford Bronco owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. Then you'll know the next fork. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Useful. I'll report back after I verify that on my 2023 Ford Bronco. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Thanks — that narrowed it. I'm going to try the simpler check on the 2023 Ford Bronco first. I'll update if anything new shows up.
