2024 BMW i4 eDrive40 — need advice: CPO luxury SUV or brand-new mainstream SUV?

Budget works for either a lightly used luxury SUV or a new mainstream model with a full warranty. I'm more worried about three-to-five-year ownership cost and service downtime than the purchase price. How would you compare them? I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2024 BMW i4 price probably got worse. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. If they only talk monthly I'm walking.

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2024 BMW i4 numbers without them. If they balk, that's your answer. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. Going to re-read the worksheet tonight.
