2024 Kia EV9 — dealer keeps discussing monthly payment instead of OTD

CamberBuilder2Community StarterJul 26, 20262024 Kia EV9 GT-LineQueens
Every time I ask for sale price and fees, the conversation goes back to monthly payment. I am bringing my own financing. Is there any reason not to insist on a full buyer order before going in? I am trying to get the facts straight before spending money.

I would not stare at the monthly. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2024 Kia EV9 and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: A written buyer’s order on the 2024 Kia EV9 is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” If they balk, that's your answer. On “dealer keeps discussing monthly payment instead of,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Did the worksheet show tax yet? I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2024 Kia EV9 numbers without them. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Do that first. PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. A written buyer’s order on the 2024 Kia EV9 is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” Do that before you talk monthly again. On “dealer keeps discussing monthly payment instead of,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Was this after sitting overnight? If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. If they get vague again I'm shopping the deal elsewhere.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. Ask for out-the-door on the 2024 Kia EV9 with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. If they balk, that's your answer. On “dealer keeps discussing monthly payment instead of,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2024 Kia EV9 in Queens. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.

Asking because it changes the advice: If one piece looks too good on the 2024 Kia EV9, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. That's the part that actually changes the decision. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2024 Kia EV9 and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Then the comparison gets honest. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. If they only talk monthly I'm walking.

If I were shopping this, two 2024 Kia EV9 quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. That's the part that actually changes the decision. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

Not convinced that's the whole story. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2024 Kia EV9 price probably got worse. Then the comparison gets honest. This is from a 2024 Kia EV9 in Queens. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.

Coming back with numbers — insurance in Queens changed the 2024 Kia EV9 comparison more than the sale price did. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. Call your insurer in Queens before you fall in love with the 2024 Kia EV9. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.
