2024 Ram 1500 — light-throttle shudder around 35–45 mph

There is a rumble-strip-like shudder at steady light throttle in a narrow speed range. Harder acceleration or lifting off makes it disappear. How would you separate converter behavior from engine misfire or wheel/tire vibration? I am in Atlanta.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Move a coil or plug on the 2024 Ram 1500 if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. I refuse to clear codes until someone else sees them.

It did light-throttle shudder around 35–45 mph twice this week, both times after sitting. No change in mileage feel. I already checked the easy fluid levels.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2024 Ram 1500 catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. No need to make it theatrical. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Agree — and I'd add this: Get a real battery/charging test on the 2024 Ram 1500, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. On “light-throttle shudder around 35–45 mph,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. I'd rather pay for diagnosis than a second guess-repair.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2024 Ram 1500 is losing coolant with no puddle. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. This is from a 2024 Ram 1500 in Atlanta. No need to make it theatrical. Not interested in a five-hour wait for a shrug.
